Oh, and as far as the glue goes, when I do work on an activity like this, I prefer for the focus to remain just a few little things - in this case: the cutting and then distinguishing between the types of food, and placing them appropriately. So, if it were me doing this activity, I would just use a glue stick as opposed to the white school glue. Kids tend to go a little overboard with the liquid stuff. If your kiddo is having a super-easy time with the other stuff and is ready for the next step, or if he is begging to use the other glue, I have come across some helpful hints over the years that have helped even the most glue-happy child work on using appropriate amounts of the sticky stuff. Here's a link there --> Stop The Glue Mess!
To continue to drive home the healthy eating bit, make sure to chat with your child a little bit about what would happen Cathy only wanted to eat Sometimes Food. Would she keep growing to be healthy and strong? Would she be able to turn into a beautiful butterfly someday? Probably not.

I hope you enjoy Caterpillar Munch as much as I do!
