Halloween Prewriting Practice (with modifications)

We need your little ones' help! There are a bunch of children dressed up as classic Halloween characters (or are they children...) who need to get to their candy and then to their homes! Your kiddos have to trace their path to get them from the one side of the page to the candy or (haunted) house on the other. The activity can be found on pages 3 and 4 of the this Halloween PreK Pack.

As we have talked about before here, children can sometimes get overwhelmed when looking at the entire line, with all of it's twists, turns, and direction changes. What I suggest in these cases is to make small, but clearly noticeable dots at certain points throughout the each line. In this way, the children that need the extra little bit of help can focus on getting to each dot, as opposed to completing the whole line at once. Over time, you can widen the space between dots in these types of activities. Have fun!
