Toy Story Pre-Writing Practice (with modifications)

You're little one with have a blast working on this prewriting activity, and not because prewriting is just so much fun. This is Toy Story themed prewriting. It's the first activity, on page 2, in the preschool pack available for download from the Over The Big Moon website. We've definitely talked about some good strategies for this type of activity on this site before. But, it bears repeating because, well, it's good advice.

MODIFICATION: Sometimes, when our little ones take a look at those lines that are supposed to be tracing, they can become a little overwhelmed. This is especially true the more complex that line is. If you notice that your kiddo is having a little difficulty, go ahead some big ol' dots at regular intervals throughout each line. This way, your child does not need to look at that whole big line all at once. Instead, you're actually helping him to break the task down into smaller parts that are more manageable for him. All he needs to focus on is getting to the next dot. You can space the dots out a little bit further after your little one has been successful with this type of activity a few times until he is, eventually, tracing the whole line by himself.
