There is a really fun Preschool Pack for St. Patrick's Day at the Over The Big Moon site. And, in that pack, I found a cute Letter Identification activity. The idea is that your little one is supposed to color in, stamp, or dot all of the letter Cs (for clover) that he can find on the page. You should check it out for yourself, and then read below for my thoughts on what you can add to help some kiddos who might find searching for Cs in the vast... sea of numbers, tricky. The activity is on page 26 of the pack, by the way.
MODIFICATION: Sometimes, trying to remember what letter he is supposed to be looking for, finding it, and coloring it in, while trying to ignore the other letters, can be a little tough for a kiddo. Something really simple that might make a big difference is to write large letter C on a separate sheet of paper (or, possibly, right in the clover that's on the activity page) for your little one. It will give your child a reference to look at that is quicker and easier to check out than the small letter C in the instructions. That change in focus could be all that your kiddo needs to keep his mind on the task and accomplish what he set out to do with way fewer frustrations and tears! Have fun!
