Penguin Potato Painting (with modification)

Have you ever heard of someone painting with a potato? I have! In fact, I've seen it. In fact, I've given kids the potato! The link I'm about to pass along is going to take you to a web page written in French. If you're at all like me, the words will mean nothing to you. There are, however, pictures that you can check out. And these pictures will show you a really cute penguin picture, being created by using a painted potato. Don't believe me? Check it out and, then, come back for some thoughts that I had that might help your little one with this cute activity:

MODIFICATION: So, here's the thing - you don't want to just hand off your potato and have your kiddo start dotting it everywhere. That's fun and all, of course, but you're trying to get a penguin picture out of this activity. Go ahead and show your kiddo how to do it once first (called modeling). This way, your child will be that much closer to understanding exactly what is being asked of him. If you think that your little one would like it, go ahead and provide an additional paper that he can dot like crazy after he has completed, say, a specified number of penguins. You can model this as well, too.
