MODIFICATION: This isn't so much of a modification as a fun and simple suggestion. Go ahead and have your kiddo cut those white paper squares themselves! Children love cutting, so just give your child a couple of sheets of white paper, maybe a container for her to cut over (so you don't wind up with paper everywhere), and a few examples of what her squares can look like. Then, just let her go. Cutting like this is also a very calming task for lots of children and, the combination of the cutting work and then the gluing, can make this a very good activity to keep ready for when you feel like your little one is acting a little too wild and needs something to help calm her down a bit.
Thank you for sharing our craft! I think I'll do it again today with my two year old. I love revisiting the things that I have done with her big sisters and brothers! :)
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure. I've had a great time doing it with my kiddos, as well!
