This is the time of year for corn and, for the little ones, it's always a good time for counting! Here's an idea that includes both. The specific directions come from the good folks at Lakeshore Learning. Looking at the picture, though, I'm sure you get the idea. Go ahead and pop a big ol' bowl of popcorn for this craft and have your kiddo count the popcorn as she glues it onto her artwork. Even better, get a few of these paper ears of corn ready and label the sticks with numbers. Then, have your child glue the appropriate amount of popcorn that matches the number on the stick to her craft. Oh, yeah... then eat the leftover popcorn!
