Let's take a look at some Thanksgiving-Story pictures today and figure out which one is different. You can find the activity right here. To find the activity you're looking for, go ahead and click on the big image. That will send you to a great big list of files to choose from. The one that we're looking for today is called, "thanksgivingdifferent." For this type of an activity, one of my biggest recommendations to help kiddos out is to do some very careful and deliberate modeling. You're little ones are being asked, in this activity, to find the picture that is different than the rest. Your goal here is to help your kiddos figure out how to look at all of these pictures, in a systematic manner, so as to be able to complete the task. Go ahead and reiterate the task to your little ones. Then, together and using your finger to actually touch the images on the page, have your children look at each picture, one at a time. "Hmm... do you see which one is different?" If they answer incorrectly, or if they simply aren't sure, go ahead and go back to the first one and work with your child to notice some of the details. You'll know which ones to focus on because you know the detail that has been changed in the one that is different. "Let's look at this pilgrim. She has an all white apron. And this one has a white apron. Those are the same. And this one has an apron that is... wait... something is different. What is on this apron that was not on the others? The heart! So those two were the same, but this one is different!" Something like that. Have fun!
