Counting Apples! (with modifications)

We're doing some counting today. The worksheet is the one with

the little girl in the one box and the apples in the other three boxed on this website. Your little ones are going to count the number of pictures in each box and circle the corresponding number below. Here's the what you should keep in mind in regard to kiddos and counting - the big thing is to make sure that your children actually touch each of the pictures as they are counting them. That is the key to 1-1 correspondence, which is really the building block of all math to come in the children's future. Also, I sometimes recommend drawing little dots in the boxes with the number, that correspond to that written number itself. This way, your child can identify the number that is written without having it memorized already. However you use choose to do this one, have fun!
