Coloring Myself (with modifications)

Children love to draw and, let's face it, they love to look at themselves! And why shouldn't they? They're awfully cute! So, today, let's combine the two and help our little ones to draw as accurate a representation of themselves as they can. The worksheet here has a picture of a blank person and your kiddos jobs are to add the details - hair, eyes, clothing colors and designs, etc. There are two pictures available - one person wearing a t-shirt and pants and
another wearing a dress.

MODIFICATIONS: To really help to steer your child in the right direction, go ahead and print out an extra copy of this activity for yourself. Then begin to draw yourself one body part at a time, starting from the top and heading down. Make sure to emphasize that you are thinking about each part and thinking about, for example, what your hair looks like - the color, length, style - before selecting a crayon and getting to work. Enjoy!
