Looking for a great St. Patrick's Day activity for your kiddo. There are a whole slew of great ones at Over The Big Moon in their St. Patrick's Day Pre-K Pack. Let's take a look at the activity on Page 9. It's a patterning activity with lots of fun and festive pictures. You'll notice that there are four pattern strips on the page. Each of those strips is missing the last piece of the pattern. That's where your kiddo will come in, figuring out which picture comes next. My suggestion has to do with those four strips. So, go ahead and grab that Pack and check out my suggestion.
MODIFICATIONS: With activities like this one, I have sometimes found that children can get a little overwhelmed, having trouble focusing on one pattern strip, for example, because of all of the other pictures on the page. No problem! Before you bring this to your little one, just go ahead and cut the strips apart. This way, he's only dealing with the one pattern that he is working with at a time. Simple as that! Give it a try!
