Counting Easter Eggs! (with modifications)

I love activities that give kids the chance to cut, glue, count, and
then some all rolled into one. This activity totally fits the bill! It's from the Busy Bee Kids Printables site and it's a math worksheet. The idea is to help the Easter Bunny collect his eggs by identifying the written number and then cutting out and gluing the correct amount of eggs to match that number. Grab the worksheet and then I'd like to share a thought that I had.

MODIFICATIONS: Sometimes, it is tough to really make that connection between a written number and the number that you count. To help bridge the gap, go ahead and draw some dots next to the written numbers on the worksheet. This way, your little one can actually count the dots to figure out how many eggs they will be looking for. It will also help them associate the written number with the concept of counting. Enjoy it!
